Today we are going to review "The Cask of Amontillado", irony, and symbolism. 

Your homework for today is to write a 1-paragraph blog entry about what you learned about irony and/or symbolism in the story "The Cask of Amontillado".  Perhaps think about/talk about how irony builds the character of Montresor, or the meaning of the story.

After our discussion we are going to take notes on Imagery and Dialect, and the look at the story, "The Split-Cherry Tree"
